Mission3:Methodology/Reflection

Digital Journalism

"Reflection"

When we started this mission I thought we are going to make our own video using our theme.

Then, our lecturer Mr.Shaun explained how we must organize our work.

For me, it should be Clear, Concise and Consistent.

Our group worked very hard, but the hardest work did Rosie, to be honest. As the project should be looked at as one product, and everything should look coherent, Rosie helped us to put it all together. She is the best team member I have ever met.

We used the following tools to create our product Adobe Premiere Pro, StoryMap, audio, and music part as well.

As we are talking about Digital Journalism, we should also mention the main principals of it: Print, Radio, and TV included Interactive Journalism.

In our product, we also talked about how people are celebrating Christmas around the world, and what special traditions they have on that day.

Now, looking at the back of our work I can say that I learned something new about Digital Journalism. What type of changes has been made during the centuries, before and now?

I can say many changes, as technology helped media to go forward and improve all the media field making it easy and appropriate for the users.
Therefore, we have to appreciate what we have got now, and always looking back to realize how it was hard to invent all those things, which people are using now.

It was very interesting to evaluate our teamwork using a rubric form. First of all, we have to watch all the group's teamwork and evaluate their work using a rubric form.

First, we have to look at teamwork researches, if they met the mission requirements.

T
he second -to see if the group understands the goal, and how they start their process.

T
he third-to see if the teamwork together creating the product.

T
he forth-Final step is a video production, to see how the team can create a coherent final, using video and audio techniques.

This type of evaluation was very interesting for me, and to be honest, I liked it. You can see how  your friends understood their task, and how they were presenting it. This new feedback form "Rubric" was working well by me.

For me, my team did a good job, and thanks to Shaun Ferns for encouraging us to try new technical tools and learned more about digital media.

Mission 3:Methodology/Product

" "PRODUCT"   Radio became popular in the 1920s, and many scientists we're trying to understand how they can make radio waves, transmitters, and receivers real. The famous Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi was successful in sending a radio signal across the Atlantic using the South East coast of Ireland. In the 1920s the first radio station in the USA was KDKA, and this radio station had been used for the presidential election. In 1922 the demand for radio increase, it was estimated at  $60 million a year. There were different types of radio; small and big, with different amounts, a minimum of $8, and a maximum of $300. In the 1920s everyone preferred to listen to the radio: news, music, soap operas, children show for 15 minutes, sport, fiction, and advertising; food, medicins, soft drinks, and cars. Year by year the radio industry are taking up new technological forms: such as broadband, mobiles, podcast and so on.  Radio is still the mas

Mission 1/Creativity/Product

Creative Coding...! "Product" Continuing our teamwork and discussing all aspects of it, first of all, we need to concentrate and delivered good products working hard and using our time rationally and effectively.  As we were decided to make a web page, by the way, it was the first time that we were doing it, so we should manage our time as I said effectively.     So, we divided our tasks into three parts and eventually made it a whole. I had to submit a web page where I had to include a poem, a picture, and a summary of it all on the web page .  Before starting my researches, I should have focused on the main product, in this case, it was a poem. But to add a poem to the web page would not be interesting, and to make it more attractive I had to add an image that would appropriate the poem, as I chose a poem about the famous artist Hovhannes Ayvazovski 9th of the Wave, written by one of the most famous Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan.
